Across the state of North Carolina, the Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality helps operate local Air Awareness programs in conjunction with county governments. Triad Air Awareness is our regional air quality education and outreach program housed at the Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance & Protection. The program serves the Triad region, which includes the counties of Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Davidson, Davie, Randolph, Rockingham, Yadkin, and Stokes.
The Triad Air Awareness program partners with schools, community groups, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to promote ideas that will move us towards the goal of cleaner, healthier air. Our education and outreach topics focus on air pollution, its impacts on public health and the environment, and pollution reduction strategies. For more information contact your Air Awareness Coordinator, Sarah Coffey, at coffeyse@forsyth.cc.
