Across the state of North Carolina, the Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality helps operate local Air Awareness programs in conjunction with county governments. The Triad Air Awareness program serves an eleven-county region and provides outreach and education pertaining to the topics of air pollution, its health impacts and pollution reduction strategies

The Triad Air Awareness program partners with schools, community groups, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to promote ideas that will move us towards the goal of cleaner, healthier air.
